TITUSVILLE, Florida — SpaceTEC Partners, Inc. (SPI) announces a new partnership with Bay Institute of Science and Engineering (BISE), Conroe, TX.  The new partnership supports education and credentialing of Space Coast area students in the highly sought skill of Precision Machining.   

“BISE’s purpose is to advise, assist and provide 100% of the support of programs that prepare employees for successful transition to further education and career pathways within your company” says BISE founder and longtime SpaceTEC partner Ken McCreight. “BISE course content has been reviewed and approved by an education committee comprised of aerospace and precision machine shop owners and supervisors who volunteered their time to make the program the best it could be. With their help, we are able to provide companies in our industry the highest quality workforce development training at a cost that is far below any other training provider.”

Offered through SPI’s Space Coast Consortium Apprenticeship Program (SCCAP) and Space Coast Aerospace and Defense Training Center (ADTC), BISE’s “One Stop Shop” for precision machining online apprenticeship training and workforce development is designed and built to fit specific company needs.  “SPI’s partnership with Ken and BISE offers the Space Coast region high quality live virtual classroom instruction in precision machining, offers area students an opportunity for world-class precision machining training and offers area employers an opportunity to source highly skilled industry leading machinists” says Steve Kane, SPI’s executive director.

Sponsored by SPI, The SCCAP (https://spacecoastconsortium.org) is an apprenticeship program offering registered apprenticeships in Mechatronics, Advanced CNC/DNC Machining, Advanced Composites, Aerospace Welding, Additive Manufacturing and coming soon, Aerospace Cybersecurity.  SCCAP sponsors Brevard Public Schools and Structural Composites Inc. pre-apprentice programs, providing advanced training and pathways to educational opportunities at Eastern Florida State College.  SCCAP is committed to implementing world-class apprenticeship programs for those from diverse backgrounds in occupations that require higher levels of education to perform in today’s competitive advanced manufacturing environment.

About Space Coast ADTC

Initiating classes in April 2024 at temporary sites around the county and funded through state and local sources, the Space Coast ADTC (https://adtcspacecoast.org) utilizes a mix of skilled instructors and world-class virtual training that allows classes to be completed in weeks, not months.  Each course is designed to quickly train candidates in essential manufacturing skills and trades, as the curriculum is tailored to area needs. A permanent Space Coast ADTC site is under development on Chaffee Drive in Titusville with completion expected in June 2025..

BISE (https://bise-edu.org) is authorized, credentialed, and approved by the DOL to be a full-service machine trades registrar and trainer for the precision machine trades as well as an apprenticeship training provider. BISE strives to achieve excellence when assisting companies in the precision machining industry and helps them to seamlessly meet the criteria that is required to offer a Department of Labor (DOL) approved, and registered apprentice training program tailored to meet the manufacturing needs of specific regions.
